Board Meetings

Introduction

The Board of Trustees meets approximately six times through the year and meetings are held in the Boardroom, Building AD, Werrington North, Penrith campus on a Wednesday morning.

Meetings normally commence at 9.00 am with a closed session for Board members only, followed by an open session from approximately 10.45 am. Members of the University community are welcome to attend the open session during which most of the agenda items are considered. A notice of the main items expected to be discussed in the open session is routinely posted on the University's daily mail (E-Update) system on the Monday preceding Board meetings. Individuals are welcome to attend the open session of Board meetings as observers and seating is provided for this purpose. Observers are not able to participate in Board discussions.

Items for the agendas of Board meetings are generated from the Board’s own deliberations, the regular reports and recommendations from the standing committees and other bodies, and by the University Executive. There is a procedure to enable members of the University community to address the Board in special circumstances. For more information, please see Guidelines for addresses to the Board of Trustees.
