Roles and responsibilities for the VC's Excellence Awards
Nominator
The nominator’s responsibilities are to:
- ensure that the proposed nominee is willing to accept nomination
- complete the nomination form
- ensure in advance that the relevant Dean/Executive Director/Director/Deputy Vice-Chancellor or Pro-Vice Chancellor is willing and able to support the nomination, and coordinate the process to obtain this signed endorsement of the final submission
- if required, seek support and advice in preparing the submission from the nominee and others who are familiar with the nominees work and/or with the processes of the award scheme
- gather and assemble all parts of the submission
- copy and send the submission to the contact officer by the stated deadline.
Nominee
The nominee’s responsibilities are to:
- decide whether to accept nomination
- if required, provide information to the nominator in the preparation of the submission.
Team Nominations
If the nomination is a team nomination, then a team leader must be designated who has these additional responsibilities:
- ensure all members of the team are willing to be listed as members of the team submission and obtain their signatures
- serve as the contact point between the Office of People and Culture and the team members
- ensure all members of the team are kept informed of progress with the submission.
