Current Opportunities
Pathways to Dreaming Mentors
We are currently looking for Alumni Volunteers who would be interested in participating in a High Schools based Indigenous student mentoring program. Pathways to Dreaming: the UWS Indigenous School Student Mentoring Program is making a difference to the way young Indigenous students think about themselves and their futures. Beginning as a pilot program in 2009 at two schools, the program has now expanded to 22 high schools across the Greater Western and South-Western Sydney area.
Mentors work with students in small groups, chatting to them about their interests and goals. Mentors also facilitate the development and implementation of a group project devised by the students. To find out more, read the recent correspondence online now (opens in a new window)
If you are able to offer your support and experience as a UWS Alumni Adviser and Volunteer we ask that you register your interest in the program online (opens in a new window).
