The Education Knowledge Network was launched in September 2006 with a launch party in the Playhouse on the Kingswood campus of UWS.

One of the key strategic drivers for the School of Education and UWS is our community engagement agenda and the knowledge network fits into that enabling us to build closer relationships with our alumni.

The alumni are still part of the University and we value their input and want them to understand that they can still make use of the learning and new knowledge development that goes on here.

As Steve Wilson, Head of the School of Education, explains 'The School of Education has a strong view that the professional knowledge that our alumni have out there in the field is just as important as the knowledge that we have in the University, and the strongest way that knowledge can be presented is in partnership.'

The Education Knowledge Network will continue to grow, with the support of our alumni working in partnership with School of Education staff, and will provide opportunities for:

• professional learning
• education seminars
• research
• school partnerships.
  

Membership in the UWS Education Alumni

Every education graduate of UWS is welcome to join the UWS Education Knowledge Network and membership is free. To join, please complete the Education Knowledge Network Membership Form (PDF, 156Kb).
