AroundUWS is the official UWS staff news site.

Published and maintained by Internal Communications, the site includes:

  • The AroundUWS homepage – which highlights the latest feature news stories 
  • Staff Profiles – where you can read profiles of your colleagues and their work
  • AroundUWS Archives – where you can access previous articles and profiles.


The site also provides links to further news pages including:

  • Research Success – fact sheets with details of research projects being undertaken by UWS staff members
  • nUWS (Student News) – a link to the official UWS student news site
  • News Centre – a link to the latest UWS media releases
  • E-Update – a daily news website with announcements posted by UWS staff members. Staff subscribers receive regular emails with links to the announcements
  • Events at UWS – a link to the UWS Events Calendar where the UWS community provide information about events related to UWS.
