Innovative TV series

Enquiring Minds

Enquiring Minds (opens in a new window) is an inspirational new series that premiered on Television Sydney (TVS) Digital 44, 7.30 pm, on Tuesday, 26 March 2013.

The series aims to help children in primary school turn their passion into a career through higher education.

The 11-part Enquiring Minds series sees young students explain what their interests are – animals, robots, computer games – and links them with an academic in the field who explains how to turn that hobby into a career.

“Children always dream of what they want to do when they grow up, but often the serious conversations around university study don’t occur until they become teenagers…This TV series helps children put themselves into the picture as they meet with adults who share interests developed through study and research,” says TVS Executive Producer Rachel Bentley.

The series will feature a range of interesting topics that will awaken children’s curiosity and broaden their knowledge. Experts will welcome and share their experiences with the viewers as they embark on a little adventure in each episode. The series will also be complemented with curriculum linked teacher lesson plans and resources, an online game and a website that maps the path through university to reach all the exciting career journeys!
