Tree of Knowledge. Artist: Mrs Janice Bruny, Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours), Honours Class 1

Bringing Sustainability to Life is proud to feature the visually inspiring perspective of UWS 'Tree of Life' by Mrs Janice Bruny.

The large ancient tree, the Tree of Knowledge is representative of the hub of the University of Western Sydney, a place for learning and sharing. Each of the campuses is connected by this central hub.

Mrs Janice Bruny has portrayed the University of Western Sydney as an inter-connected knowledge centre. The six circles with trees are representative of the universities six main campuses; Parramatta, Bankstown, Campbelltown, Penrith, Hawkesbury and Nirimba. Each of the surrounding rings is representative of a specific dynamic of the university.

This includes the students, buildings and places of learning, and learning tools including books and computers. The outer green ring symbolises the sustainability of each campus. Each of the six campuses are connected to the suburbs and cities the students and staff travel from by a series of roadways and motorways.
