Procurement

Buy Green at UWS

Procurement is the purchase of goods and services. There are a number of ways you can buy and sell products at UWS, please see information below.

eBay Account

Do you have excess items laying around your office that you no longer use? You can now sell your excess assets and items on eBay. Why not clean out your cardboards and give some of your old stuff? Contact Rob Daniels for more details and to register your items.

One such example is the the Old Poultry Shed on Hawkesbury campus. The shed was listed for demolition and as such would of cost around $10,000. Rob Daniels, in the Procurement Unit, instead placed the shed onto eBay. The shed sold for $425. By selling the shed on eBay the university has saved money, reduced waste to landfill, engaged with the wider community and found the old shed a new home for future use.

Old Furniture Sales

Excess office furniture is sold reguarly for a gold coin donation. By selling our excess furniture we are reducing waste to landfill and reusing old tables, file cabinets, chairs and more giving it a new home. It can be brought to use in your office at work or taken home. Keep your eye out for dates and locations on e-update. All money raised goes back in the university for things like the Student Welfare Fund.
