Sustainable Wellbeing Research and Engagement Group

The UWS Office of Sustainability would like to welcome to its ranks Emeritus Professor Richard Bawden as an Honorary Research Fellow. To celebrate this, we would like to invite interested UWS academics and professional practitioners to join with us in the establishment of a university-wide initiative on Sustainable Wellbeing.

The initial intention is to establish a vibrant discourse across the institution in the pursuit of Sustainable Wellbeing as a trans-disciplinary area of scholarship and practice as a context for the inclusive systemic development of communities in concert with their bio-physical and socio-cultural environments.

The intention here is for the Office of Sustainability to act as an organising node which brings together those already working in the domain of wellbeing within their respective disciplines with others who could be committed to this as an entirely appropriate focus for sustainability.
