New Emergency Contact Points
UWS is committed to providing a safe environment in which to work and study. Work has been completed on the installation of emergency contact points on each campus, along with an upgrade to the University’s Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
The emergency contact points provide a 24-hour direct link to a Campus Safety and Security Officer in an emergency and have been strategically located on each campus to increase the safety of students, staff and visitors. Below are maps for each campus detailing their locations:
- Bankstown campus (opens in a new window)
- Blacktown/Nirimba campus (opens in a new window)
- Campbelltown campus (opens in a new window)
- Hawkesbury campus (opens in a new window)
- Kingswood campus (opens in a new window)
- Parramatta campus (opens in a new window)
- Werrington South campus (opens in a new window)
- Werrington North campus (opens in a new window)
When an emergency contact point is activated, the nearest security officer is immediately deployed, while the person who raised the alarm speaks directly with security staff in the control room in full view of CCTV.
A back-up system has been implemented to ensure the emergency contact points provide an uninterrupted link to Campus Safety and Security staff.
