Interactive Maps Help

When trying to use the directions feature, I get a red text message 'Unable to create directions'.

This error is generated when Google Maps cannot create driving directions based upon your selected location. This can be for one of several reasons:

  • You have mis-typed your address or you have entered your state into the text field rather than selecting from the drop down menu.
  • You have not chosen the correct state.
  • Your address could not be found by Google Maps.
  • Google Maps does not have routing information for your area.

I am told that I am running a 'Basic Version'

This may occur if your browser does not support Javascript, the technology powering Interactive Maps for its interactive, default mode. For optimum viewing and to enable the interactive mode of Interactive Maps, we recommend using Internet Explorer 6, or Firefox 2 (or newer). This error may also occur if Javascript is blocked or disabled within your browser. Please see the Microsoft website for information on how to enable scripting in your browser (opens in a new window).
