UWS Provosts

At UWS, the Campus Provosts are senior members of staff who are responsible for campus life, community relations and specific issues relating to their home campus. Provosts chair the Campus Life Committee on each campus, host VIP visitors on their home campus and foster external engagement with their campus.

UWS has a Provost at each of our five teaching campuses:

  • Bankstown - Professor Peter Hutchings
  • Campbelltown - Professor Vaughan Macefield
  • Penrith - Associate Professor Jonathon Allen
  • Hawkesbury - Professor Roy Tasker
  • Parramatta - Eric Sidoti, Director, Whitlam Institute
  • Nirimba - Dr Kerry Hudson, Director, Education Partnerships UWS & CEO UWS College

Campus Life Grant Scheme

The Campus Life Grant Scheme is an initiative of the Campus Life Committee and Provosts of the University which aims to:

  • Build and maintain links between the UWS Campuses and its external communities; and
  • Provide a more vibrant and engaging campus for students and staff

The Campus Life Committee and Provost will be offering a number of campus life grants.The Campus Life Committee; together with the Provost will decide on the number of grants to be allocated.

The types of activities for which the grants could be used include cultural, social, educational and recreational events and publications.
