Parramattta Campus Life

The Parramatta Campus has been undergoing a transformation in recent years. Alongside the physical changes (new buildings, facilities and landscaping) there has been a renewed enthusiasm for the building a lively campus community.

The Parramatta Campus Life Committee (CLC) brings together student and staff representatives who volunteer their time to consider issues affecting our community and promoting opportunities for general benefit.

Membership of the Committee is quite open with the core group comprising representatives from: Parramatta Student Council; Student Services; Campus Chaplains; UWS Connect; Academics (north & south campus); UWS Office of Development; Capital Works; Security; and UWS Village.

The CLC through its members both organises activities itself and supports others to do so. An exciting new initiative developed by the CLC is a small grants program with a broad sustainability focus to support students or staff who have a good idea and just need a little help to make it happen.  

This small grant scheme is open to any student, staff or group wishing to make a viable and sustainable change on the Parramatta campus.

The Parramatta campus initiative grant is an initiative of the Parramatta Campus Life Committee.  A sub group committee will assess all grant applications and make recommendations to the Provost.

Small grants up to $500 will be available to successful applicants to establish their project.

Grant applications can be received at any time throughout the year, while it is expected that most grants will be $500 or less, consideration may be given to application requiring a grant up to $1000 where there is a sufficiently strong case to do so. In this respect, project ideas that are a precursor to SURF applications are particularly welcome.
