Refurbishment of Charles Hoskins Memorial building at Lithgow for UWS College

A UWS College facility is being developed at Lithgow to provide the local community with pathways to tertiary education. The existing two-storey 1920’s Charles Hoskins Memorial building on the corner of Bridge and Mort Streets, Lithgow, is being refurbished to provide flat-floor teaching, a wet lab, a dry lab and a lecture theatre for UWS College. A lift will also be installed to improve accessibility.

This project is continuing to progress according to schedule, with the flooring upgrade nearing completion and the services rough-in works well underway. The structural works for the secondary entrance to the building (from the car park) will commence in early May 2013.

The project is a joint venture between UWS and the Lithgow City Council. The works are being co-funded by UWS and the Federal Government’s Structural Adjustment Fund/Educational Investment Fund.
