Pilot of the Blended learning initiative in six flat-floor teaching spaces in building EB

Over the 2012/2013 intersession break, six flat-floor teaching spaces on level three of building EB were upgraded as part of a pilot program to provide functional, dynamic and collaborative learning spaces for students. CW&F worked closely with Information Technology Services, Courses and Timetabling, Teaching Development, the School of Law, the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the School of Business, Assessment and Graduation, Library and current UWS students on the design of the collaborative new learning spaces. The new spaces have been fitted-out with mobile tables and chairs, laptop charging stations, state-of-the-art audio visual equipment and a projection screen, wireless internet and glass writing surfaces on all walls to facilitate group learning and collaboration. In addition, the corridor and foyer spaces have been fitted-out to provide social learning spaces for students, making level three of building EB a blended learning student hub on the Parramatta south campus.
