Dr Cameron McAuliffe is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CCR. His research focuses on identity, cultural diversity and transnationalism, with a particular interest in the intersections of national and religious identities, and the lives of the children of migrants. A unifying theme in his research is how these various foci are mobilised in the politics of difference.
Dr McAuliffe is currently working on the Informal Pathways to Belonging project funded through the UWS Postdoctoral Research Scheme. This project is being conducted in collaboration with five industry partners, including Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC), UnitingCare Burnside, Department of Community Services (DoCS), Casula Powerhouse and Community Cultural Development NSW, and is investigating issues concerning youth and the arts in Western Sydney.
