Centre for Educational Research

Welcome to the Centre for Educational Research (CER), a research centre of the University of Western Sydney, located in the College of Arts. CER works with individuals and communities to find solutions to the educational and social policy priorities of the twenty-first century. Our research generates the knowledge, theoretical insights, and innovative approaches needed to address the educational and social concerns of contemporary society.

The Centre is organised into three groups:

Educational Excellence and Equity

Educational Excellence & Equity (E3)

Led by Professor Rhonda Craven, the E3 group in the Centre for Educational Research has a research focus on issues of equity and excellence in the Australian educational context.

Knowledge

Knowledge Work Democracy

Professor Michael Singh leads the Knowledge Work Democracy Research Program in the CER, focusing on the benefits of a two-way exchange of higher learning practices and knowledge between western and non-western countries.


Location

The Centre for Educational Research is located on the Bankstown campus of the University of Western Sydney.
