Child Health Researching Universal Services (CHoRUS)
A study investigating the feasibility of implementing a national Framework for Family and Child Health Services
The Child Health: Researching universal services is a national study funded by the Australian Research Council together with five partner jurisdictions (Victoria, WA, Northern Territory, Queensland and NSW).
The study aims to investigate the feasibility of implementing a national approach to child and family health services in Australia. In particular, the study will seek the perspective of those directly involved in service provision (that is, child and family health nurses, general practitioners, practice nurses and midwives) and be informed by perspectives and experiences of key stakeholders (such as pediatricians, allied health professionals) and consumers.
There are three phases in the study which will involve consultations with professional and consumer groups surveys of child and family health nurses, midwives and general practitioners and then in Phase three, focus groups with health professionals in each of the five jurisdictions.
