Careers Expos

Careers expos provide an opportunity for students to explore career options and employers to promote their organisation and employment opportunities.

UWS holds annual Business Careers Expos, Education Careers Expos, Engineering Careers Expos and IT Careers Expos, usually scheduled early in the year to fit in with graduate recruitment deadlines.

Careers Expo Information for Students

Careers expos are most relevant to final year students and graduates who are investigating graduate employment opportunities. However, students from all years are welcome to attend. International students can attend but should be aware that most organisations recruiting graduates state that candidates must have Australian residency. Students from other universities are eligible to attend and will be asked to indicate which educational institution they are from at the registration desk.

Entry to all UWS careers expos is free.

Before attending an expo, prepare by:

• reading Tips for Making the Most of Careers Expos
• reading Careers Expos FAQs for Students
• reviewing the exhibitor's list for the relevant expo and following the links to the employer websites
• planning your time. The opening hour of an expo tends to be busier than later in the day and may involve more waiting to speak with employer representatives.
