Information for Students

UWS EdFest is a one stop shop where students find everything they need to know about starting a career in teaching.
UWS graduates have a strong record of highly successful entry into graduate teaching positions and EdFest contributes to this by providing students with the information they need for successful applications.
At EdFest, students have the opportunity to meet with future employers including the NSW Department of Education & Communities (DEC), theCatholic Education Office and a wide range of employers from the private sector both in Australia and overseas.
At Edfest you will:
- Be the first university students to be presented with the DEC’s 2014 Graduate Recruitment Program.
- Meet with support organisations such as the Teachers Federation, theTeachers Credit Union and international recruiters keen to help you plan your future in teaching.
- Hear inspirational speakers such as Paul Fuller, Teacher of the Year, guide UWS students in thinking outside the square in terms of the digital classroom and future trends in education.
- Select workshop sessions that equip you with the information and skills that enhance your start to a career in teaching.

| Parking | The Parramatta South campus has blue and red parking spots available. There are a limited number of spaces and these fill quickly before 9am. Yellow parking spots are available at the Parramatta North campus with a frequent shuttle bus to the Parramatta South campus. Entrance to the Parramatta North campus is via Pemberton Street. The Parramatta campus is well serviced by public transport, walking and cycling links. |

Registration | Please register to attend the 2013 EdFest. We will shortly be opening the program of seminars and presentations that you must register for (seating is limited). Registrations are now open via UWS CareerHub (opens in a new window) If you do not have a UWS CareerHub account, login with your current student number and password. |
