UWS Professional Staff Conference 2013

Tuesday, 4 June 2013
Bankstown Sports Club

Since its inception in 2010, the UWS Professional Staff Conference has become an important event in the University calendar. It has given us the opportunity to share what we do across UWS and to engage with our senior leaders on strategic discussions. We are excited to be running the Conference for its fourth year and are looking forward to what promises to be another excellent program.

The theme for the 2013 Conference - Connect, Collaborate, Celebrate - arises from what you have told us you value about working at UWS: coming together with colleagues, students and the communities we work within, collaborating to meet our shared objectives and taking the time to celebrate our achievements. We trust that the Conference will once again provide an opportunity for Professional Staff from all our campuses to come together and share many of the initiatives that make UWS a great place to work and study.

We are pleased to invite you to register to attend the year's conference. The 2013 Professional Staff Conference Program is now available.

Conference Program

The Conference is particularly aimed at Professional Staff, including administrators, managers and technical officers. This year's program will feature:

  • an opening address by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Janice Reid
  • plenary presentations by the Deputy Vice-Chancellors, with a Q&A session
  • a presentation on the Our Future program
  • 20 concurrent sessions comprising presentations by UWS Professional staff
  • a keynote address by University Teacher of the Year Professor James Arvanitakis
  • and a bit of space for fun and prizes!

The concurrent sessions will showcase achievements, innovations, best practice and collaborative ventures at UWS. There will be sessions relevant to managers and administrative and technical staff, giving delegates the opportunity to choose to attend specific presentations of interest and relevance.

Conference registrations will start at 8am. The conference will run from 9am to 4pm, with drinks and canapés from 4 to 5pm.
