Biography
Katrina received her PhD in Education from the University of Western Sydney in 2007. She is an Academic Course Advisor for the Primary Program and coordinates units in educational psychology and research methods and design. Katrina has been recognised for her teaching excellence with a number of national awards as well as some from UWS. Her research focus links well to her teaching as it relates to student motivation, self-concept, school retention, classroom management and teacher self-efficacy. She is a member of the Centre for Positive Psychology and Education. Most of her research employs sophisticated quantitative analyses. Prior to being employed at UWS, Katrina completed a teaching degree and worked as a primary school teacher.
