Dr Roberto Parada
Dr Roberto Parada graduated with a PhD in 2007. In his thesis he investigated the psychosocial determinants of and effective intervention in school bullying. His academic interests include:
- the relation of self-concept and identity to behaviours such as bullying.
- the relations between multiple dimensions of self-concept and multiple dimensions of mental health syndromes.
- the effectiveness of self-concept enhancement techniques in assisting young people to modify their behaviour.
- high school students’ attachment and belonging to school, and the effect of these perceptions on subsequent behaviours.
Dr Parada has also been commissioned to conduct reports and develop programs within the private sector. He works as a trained coach in the Positive Behaviour Support Program which aims to assist students who are facing challenges in their educational and social environments.
