Research Instruments of CPPE

CPPE has developed and freely distributes a range of psychological instruments to measure self-concept and related constructs.  They have been favourably evaluated in critical reviews of self-concept instruments (e.g., Byrne, 1996) and are widely used. The development of these instruments was the starting point of the SELF Research Centre and an important component in establishing international linkages with colleagues who subsequently used them.

The instruments referred to in the table below are now available. Each Package contains:

  • The Instrument
  • The Outline of this instrument (including correct referencing)
  • Factor/scales
  • Item variables and scoring
  • Resources and key references

There are no fees for these packages but we ask that:

  • All Terms and Conditions (opens in a new window)are read and complied with;
  • Each instrument is correctly referenced;
  • Any conditions of use that apply are adhered to.

Please note that:

  • CPPE does not provide any statistical services or support of any kind;
  • Further information can be obtained from the Frequently Asked Questions (opens in a new window)page.
