Environmental and social influences on tobacco purchase and smoking
In this lecture, Professor Suzan Burton will discuss her research examining environmental and social influences on smoking, and discuss the implications for health policy. The research stream has used a combination of quantitative and qualitative research to examine the influences on tobacco smoking and purchase, though this presentation will focus on the quantitative component of the research, as well as providing one example of developing a research stream and obtaining external funding, issues which may be particularly of interest to early career researchers.
