UNE Partnership

We know that many of you are juggling study with work and other responsibilities, so we are pleased to be able to offer you a flexible mode of study for selected units.

UWS has just formed a partnership with the University of New England (UNE) that offers you more unit options and the flexibility of distance education.

From Autumn session 2012, you will have the opportunity to study online learning units offered by UNE, a national leader in distance education.

What units can I study?

UWS academic staff have selected UNE units which complement the University's existing portfolio of elective units. While UWS already offers cross institutional study opportunities, the partnership makes the process easier for you to enrol in these pre-approved UNE units.

Please note that requests to study other UNE units (which have not been pre-approved) or units offered by other universities must be made using the standard process. For more information, please see the Cross Institutional Studies webpage.

How can I apply?

Applications are will open soon for Trimester 2 and Trimester 3 2012. See the closing dates page for more information.

When can I enrol?

Information on how to enrol will be sent to you by UNE prior to the commencement of each trimester.

What is the cost?

Where can I find more information?

If you are considering enrolling in a UNE unit, please contact your Head of Program/Academic Course Advisor for advice about any prerequisites/corequisites, credit points and how the unit fits in with your UWS course.

Remember that you can choose units from other UWS courses as electives, simply visit the handbook for information on units available.
