Deferred exams
If you were unable to attend a final exam due to a serious illness, misadventure or other exceptional circumstance beyond your control then you are eligible to apply for a deferred exam.
How to apply for a deferred exam
A Deferred Examination Application form must be lodged at a Student Central no later than 5.00pm on the 2nd working day after your scheduled exam. Your application will be assessed against the Special Consideration policy. Please remember that original or certified copies of supporting documentation may be requested.
We will monitor the number of deferred exams you sit during the course of your degree. Sitting deferred exams more than four times during your enrolment may result in you being reported to your Head of School. The Head of School may then take action to determine why you repeatedly fail to sit your exams in the main exam period.
It is important to note that completing a deferred exam may delay your eligibility to graduate.
Access to a deferred exam is a privilege and not an automatic right.
