Temporary Grades
Incomplete (I), Result Pending (N) Deferred Exam (J) & Re-assessable Fail (R)
All temporary grades will be converted to final grades as soon as possible, usually by the main census date in the following teaching session. If you are studying in Australia, enquiries regarding any temporary grade should be referred directly to your unit coordinator. If you are studying offshore, you should refer enquiries to your program administrator.

Grades Withheld
If you have a 'Grade Withheld' status it is likely that you have outstanding fees and have had an encumbrance placed on your student record.
Please follow the instructions on our encumbrance page for what you need to do to get your encumbrance lifted.
Determination of marks and grades
Your unit outline must set out whether any marks gained in part or all of the assessment will be modified or scaled. For example, you might achieve high marks but 'fail' the unit if a particular assessment task threshold has not been achieved.
Can I apply for a Review of Grade?
Results and progression
Your end of session results will be checked against the progression rules, for more information view the progression pages.

Where a result is not finalised within the timeframe, an AF grade (absent fail) will be recorded. In certain circumstances an 'I' grade or 'N' grade may continue past the relevant census date when approved by the Head of School. The outstanding result will be finalised by the end of the next teaching period.
