Student Contribution Bands
The 2013 student contribution amounts are set for students who commenced a unit of study with a census date on or after 1 January 2013. These amounts are based on the discipline area for the unit of study and the rate set by each higher education provider.
Your student contribution amount will be calculated on a per unit basis and is dependent on the discipline area of the unit of study, not the course you are enrolled in. To find out the discipline area of each of your units visit the Handbook page for that unit. More instructions on this are available from the Student contribution calculations page.
The Student Contribution amount for each band is outlined below. It details the amount for an equivalent full time study load (EFTSL) for one year for each band and the approximate amount per a standard 10 credit point unit.
To work out the exact cost of your Student Contribution for the semester or year go to the Student contribution calculations page.

The increased maximum annual student contribution amounts will only affect students who commence their course of study at a higher education provider on or after 1 January 2010.
Students who commenced their study before 1 January 2010 will not be affected by the increase. For pre-2010 students, the maximum student contribution that may be charged for Education and Nursing units is $4,696.00.
