Refunds

Your eligibility for re-crediting, remission or refunds will depend on when you withdraw from your course or units, the reason for withdrawing and whether you are a local or International student.

Refund of tuition fees before census - local students

If you defer, resign or take an approved leave of absence from your course prior to the approved census date you will automatically receive a refund for 100% of any paid tuition fees you have paid for the teaching session prior to withdrawing.

A cheque is generated by the Finance Unit and sent to your mailing address. You will need to confirm your mailing address is current in MySR. It will then take approximately 4–6 weeks for your refund to be processed and received.

Refund of tuition fees after census - local students

For the process of withdrawing after the census date and extenuating circumstances that may result in a refund see the Dropping units page.

For supporting documentation necessary see the Supporting documentation page.

International student fee refund

For information on International Student fee refunds please see the International fee page.
