2014 Student diary cover competition

Are you an up-and-coming artist, designer or photographer? Then this is the competition for you! Design a cover for the 2014 UWS student diary for your chance to win a $400 Westfield voucher!

What's the theme?

This year's theme is 'Life at UWS'. Be creative and design outside the box.
Remember, you can submit more than one artwork!

Technical specifications

  • Artworks must be 220mm x 158mm (portrait)
  • Colours must be CMYK. No RGB files will be accepted
  • All entries must be high resolution print quality PDFs or JPEGs
  • Files must be 300dpi
  • Inaccessible files will be disqualified
  • Files must be no more than 8Mb 

Design specifications

  • Final layout of the winning artwork is subject to UWS style and visual identity. It will include the UWS logo, UWS brand curve and the text, "2014 Student Diary" or "International Diary 2014"
  • Your artwork must be saved as "diary14_your student ID". For example, "diary14_12345678".
  • Multiple entries must be identified by adding a letter to the end. For example, if you were to submit two entries, they would be saved as "diary14_12345678a" and "diary14_12345678b"
  • Each entry must be submitted separately 

Design tips

Conditions of entry

  • Entrants must be currently enrolled at UWS
  • Designs submitted must be the original work of the entrant - no copyrighted images can be used
  • The decision of the judges will be final and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding the decision
  • Future use by the designer of the winning design is restricted for 12 months
  • UWS reserves the right to use the winning entry or to engage the designer to design further variations of the cover and theme
  • UWS reserves the right to request additions or amendments to the winning design
  • Offensive, racist, sexist and/or discriminatory entries will not be considered
  • UWS reserves the right to use the winning design for matters relating to the UWS student diary throughout 2014 and 2015
