Counselling Service

News

Study, Money & Life Skills workshop modules are now available online. Visit the Study, Money & Life Skills vUWS site via the vUWS portal.

Who are we?

The UWS Counselling Service is a team of qualified social workers and psychologists. We're here to help you with any issues that might be affecting your study. If you're not sure that university is for you, a counsellor may be able to offer advice and support. We can also help you improve your study skills.

Counselling is free and strictly confidential.

What do we offer?

Mental health and wellbeing information

Mental health is everyone’s business and we are likely to be affected by mental health changes, either personally or in someone we know through our studies and work.

About one in five Australians will experience a mental illness and most will experience mental ill-health at some time in our lives.

If you’re facing barriers that affect your study, due to an emotional burden or mental health difficulties, then the Counselling Service or Disability Service might be able to help.

There’s also some really useful information and resources online that can help. To find out more, go to the mental health and wellbeing website.
