Mental Health and Wellbeing Month

Mental Health and Wellbeing Month

What is Mental Health and Wellbeing Month?

Your mental health and wellbeing is just as important as your physical health and fitness. Everything we do, think and feel has an impact on our mental health and wellbeing. The promotion of good mental health and wellbeing is important and we all have a role to play.

UWS and uwsconnect are holding Mental Health and Wellbeing Month in October, to coincide with Mental Health Month NSW. This year we’re incorporating wellbeing and healthy lifestyles themes into our event.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Month is a great opportunity to engage with the University community, build relationships and learn about mental health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.

Each campus will have a week full of activities and one ‘event day’ focussing on mental health specifically.

What is Mental Health Month NSW?

Mental Health Month NSW is run by the Mental Health Association NSW as part of a national mental health promotion campaign held in October each year. It promotes mental health and wellbeing for all people. The national campaign coincides with World Mental Health Day, which is on 10 October each year.
