PASSwrite

What is PASSwrite?

PASSwrite is a new discipline-based academic reading and writing development program. It provides students with more opportunities to develop their language and literacy skills and receive individual feedback on their writing. In a PASSwrite session, an experienced and successful student will provide a hands-on grammar, writing and critical reading workshop in a small group environment.

Places are limited to ten students per session to allow time for individual and group feedback. To get the most out of the program, students are expected to attend at least eight out of the eleven sessions over the teaching session.

PASSwrite sessions are free and voluntary, however registration is required. See below for details.

Who attends PASSwrite?

PASSwrite sessions are currently available for Business, Humanities and Communication Arts students at Bankstown, Parramatta and Penrith (Kingswood) campuses. All undergraduate students are welcome to attend, however, preference is given to students who are re-enrolling in units they have previously failed.

When do sessions run?

PASSwrite sessions run weekly for 1.5 hours through the teaching session, starting in week three. The exact times and locations will be advised upon receipt of your registration.

How do I join the PASSwrite program?

Registrations for Spring Session 2013 are now open.

Will PASSwrite be available for other students?

PASSwrite is currently in a pilot stage for Business, Humanities and Communication Arts students. We hope to expand the program to Science and Law students at Campbelltown, Hawkesbury and Parramatta campuses in 2014.
