Academic skills workshop registration
You can register a place online in any of our skills workshops by following the instructions below.
Activate your MyUWSAccount
Before you can register online for any bridging or preparation program, you must activate you UWS student account.
You can activate your UWS student account in two ways:
- go to a UWS computer lab and type into the computer the word 'activate' in the Student ID field and then press enter and follow the instructions, or
- access the MyUWSAccount webpage and follow the instructions.
When you activate your account, you will be required to change your default password.
If you have difficulties activating your account, please ring the Help Desk on (02) 9852 5111.
Register online
Check the workshop registration links below for the most up-to-date workshop details and availability. If you wish to register in a program, open the 'Student Registrations' link located on the left hand side of the page and enter your MyUWSAccount login details.
After you have registered for your course, a confirmation page will be displayed that summarises your details and those of the course(s) you have chosen.
Please print the confirmation page and bring it to the first day of your bridging course.
Cancelling your registration
If you are unable to attend a course, it is essential that you cancel your registration so that we can make your place available to another student. Using the Online Workshop Registration System, you can cancel your registration in a course up to 24 hours before the course is held.
To self cancel:
- login to the Online Workshop Registration System
- open 'My Registrations' which is located on the left hand side of the page
- follow the instructions provided.
If you need to cancel your registration closer to the time the course is being held, please send an email to lsuworkshops@uws.edu.au and include the following information:
- state you wish to cancel your place
- state name of the workshops you are registered in
- your full name
- student ID
- session code of the course (as it appears on your confirmation page).
Full courses
If the course you want to register in is full, you can register on the waiting list. In the event of a cancellation, students on the waiting list are moved to the course registration list.
