Welcome to Virtual UWS, or vUWS (pronounced 'views'), your e-Learning platform here at Western. Designed to enrich your learning experience, vUWS offers an extensive suite of online tools and resources, tailored by your lecturers to meet the specific requirements of your program or subject.

Logging Into vUWS

Ensure your WesternAccount is active and your password is up-to-date (don’t forget you need to change it every 400 days to keep it secure). For login issues or to reset your password, visit the About your WesternAccount page.

Getting Started with vUWS

  1. Practice Assignments and Quizzes: Familiarise yourself with the submission process through our Practice Assignment and Quiz features. Ensure your device is fully compatible and ready for your actual assessments.
  2. Quick Access Resources: Explore the links on the home page for instant access to library resources, support services, and essential tools like the browser checker, or click "Support zone" in the left-hand menu bar while in your subject site.

  • Interactive Learning Tools: Explore a variety of online tools ranging from video guides to practice assessments, ensuring you're well-prepared for your academic challenges.
  • Student Support and Digital Literacy: Gain full access to the E-Learning Student Support Site once you log in with your WesternAccount. Enhance your digital literacy skills with our comprehensive guides available on the Study Smart Digital Literacy page.

How to Get Help

  • In-Platform Assistance: For guidance on using vUWS tools, click the vUWS Self Help link from the home page or in each subject zone.
  • Contacting Teaching Staff: vUWS sites can be different. For queries specific to your vUWS site's content, reach out to your teaching staff directly.
