When you enrol at UWS, you are provided with a free UWS student email account. Our student email system is managed by UWS and hosted by Microsoft’s Office 365. Your student email has 10GB of online mailbox storage space, can send attachments up to 5MB and allows you to automatically forward your UWS emails to a personal or work account so you don’t have to access multiple accounts.

You need to take action before the upgrade if you use optional Microsoft services (SkyDrive, Messenger etc) or access your student email on a mobile device (iPad, smart phone). Follow the instructions on the Student email upgrade webpage.
Your official UWS student email address
Your official address will be <your studentID>@student.uws.edu.au (no <> brackets).
Email is the official communication channel between you and the University, so you must use your student email account when contacting UWS by email. As a condition of your enrolment, you must check your student email account regularly. The UWS Email Policy (opens in a new window) recommends you check your student email daily, where practical.
Activating your student email accountBefore you can access your student email account, you will need to activate your account via MyUWSAccount (opens in a new window). The password you create when you activate your account will also give you access to all UWS online systems, including vUWS, MySR, PlatformWeb, and General Purpose Computer Labs.
Accessing student email
You can access student email by logging onto the MyUWS Student Portal (opens in a new window) and clicking 'Student email' link in the left hand navigation list.
