Doctoral Seminars

The doctoral seminars offered each year aim to illuminate the challenges of our era, drawing on political and social thought to frame and reframe those challenges. Doctoral seminars may focus on “problems of the present,” on the work of a major thinker in political or social thought, an important paradigm and/or set of debates in political and social thought (feminist theory, postcolonial theory, secularism, cosmopolitanism, indigeneity, freedom, alternative economies, etc.). Occasionally, there may also be seminars that are structured as guided systematic reading program.
