Welcome Message
We believe that the future of education is based on effectively engaging students and teachers in challenging and relevant learning through invigorating and networked communities of learners. We see the utilisation of strong relationships, networks, and digital technologies as important to effective learning in 21st century contexts. We feel that all teachers, student teachers and students must be leaders in achieving 21st century learning and next practice.
Through our teaching and research programs, we investigate approaches to learning and teaching which lead to educational achievement, and committed and engaged lifelong learners. We believe that all people can and should explore their potential to learn, and that they should be supported in achieving success by their experiences in formal education. Our programs are supported by outstanding partnerships with schools, centres, agencies and businesses who share this ideal. Our emerging Greater Western Sydney Education Alliance is one important expression of these partnerships.
We offer programs in early childhood, primary and secondary education; social ecology; educational leadership; special education, and honours and research higher degrees (M.Hons, PhDs and EdDs). Our suite of initial ‘pathways into teaching’ programs, beginning with a Bachelors degree, are innovative, allow you to study our ‘Education Studies Major’ in your Bachelors program, and lead to a variety of Master of Teaching qualifications. They provide tremendous employment flexibility. We also offer a wonderful diversity in our professional experience (‘prac’) programs.
So, welcome to our website! Please explore us, explore our blog and newsletters, and contact us if you would like to further engage with us.
