International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO) - Ally (Opens in a new window)
The International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO) is celebrated every year on May 17, to mark the day in 1990 when homosexuality was removed from the International Classification of Diseases of the World Health Organization (WHO).
The day provides the opportunity to celebrate diversity and to raise awareness of homophobia, transphobia and discrimination against lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) people.
