Information for Managers
UWS recognises the importance of professional and career development for our staff.
The Internal Job Exchange program supports key initiatives of the UWS Making the Difference Strategy and the Our People 2015 staffing strategy.
The program provides the opportunity for General staff within your College/School/Unit to broaden their experience and further their knowledge of University business and operations outside their usual work area.
Please note: An exchange can only occur with your full support.
Expressions of interest are now being sought for the next round of the Internal Job Exchange. Consider eligible staff in your unit who would benefit from participating in the program and encourage them to express interest.
For more information on the program, please Contact Us.

Considering Suitable Staff
The Internal Job Exchange program and other forms of career development should be discussed with staff as part of annual performance planning and development.
Staff applying for a job exchange must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- General staff
- Completion of a minimum of 12 months of continuous service
Part-time employees who have completed a minimum of the equivalent of 12 months of continuous service may apply, however an exchange would only be possible if another employee working the same fractional profile was also seeking an exchange.
