Controlling Stage
The controlling stage requires knowledge of the project status. You need to monitor the project and compare it to the project plan on a regular basis. To asertain the status of the project you will need to gather information for your reports. This is referred to as tracking.
Reporting tools
Reports/papers for UWS Board of Trustees, UWS Executive, and their Standing Committees, must be prepared according to the standard Executive Report template (Word, 33Kb).

Other reporting tools
The Periodic Project Report form (Word, 36Kb) allows for detailed project progress information to be provided for any given period.
It would be normally used by a:
- Project Officer to inform the Project Manager
- Project Manager to inform the Project Sponsor.
The Status Report form (Excel, 30Kb) allows high level reporting of the status of the project in all key areas:
- timeline
- budget
- resourcing
- milestones
- issues
- achievements.
The Change Register (Excel, 26Kb) provides a consolidated register of all changes requested and/or made to the project. It allows you to note at a glance where the project has deviated from the original scope and plan. The Change Request form (Excel, 27Kb) provides for a consistend approach across all projects to request any change to a project.
