Supervisors: Associate Professor Louise O’Brien, Professor Debra Jackson
The study aims to explore the experiential meanings and understandings that Australian nurse leaders apply to mentoring relationships; determine whether mentoring relationships contribute to the development of Australian nurse leaders, and identify how Australian nurses leaders conceptualise mentorship for leadership. The study applies a hermeneutic phenomenological methodology incorporating the influences of Heidegger and Gadamer.
