
Dr Sansnee Jirojwong has more than 13 years teaching and research experiences at Australian universities. Prior to moving to Australia, Sansnee taught nursing students in Thailand and Brunei.
Sansnee has conducted a number of community based research projects in Thailand, Brunei and in Australian rural & urban areas. The majority of her projects explore social, cultural and beliefs as factors associated with the use or non-use of health care services by disadvantaged groups. Many of her publications are refereed journal articles and book chapters. Her publications are widely cited by researchers and academic in the areas of migrant health and rural health.
Sansnee and her research team have developed a DVD-health education resource for Vietnamese women with gestational diabetes. She also has been a senior editor of two textbooks published by the Oxford University Press (Population Health, Communities and Health Promotion, 2009; Research Methods in Nursing and Midwifery: Pathways to Evidenced-Based Practice, 2011) and an author for seven chapters.

Sansnee has regularly returned to Thailand under the Royal Thai government scheme to encourage Thai professionals to contribute to Thai universities. These universities include Burapha University (East of Bangkok), Khonkaen University (Northeast Thailand) and Prince of Songkla University (southern Thailand). Recently Sansnee has been invited to be an Associate Editor of International Nursing Review.
