The Finance Office is responsible for:

• Financial policy advice to the Vice Chancellor, Board of Trustees and University Management
• Operational accounting
• Funds management and investment
• Taxation
• Financial reporting
• Financial planning and budgets
• Financial systems and procedures
• Insurance
• Corporate Credit Card

Unit Responsibilities

Director, Finance
Executive level policy development and advice to the Vice-Chancellor and Board of Trustees, overall responsibility for UWS budget and financial management

Financial Operations
General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,
Travel, Cashiers, Taxation (including GST & FBT), Insurance, Purchasing, Fixed Assets and Fleet Management

Financial Client Services
UWS Budget, Management accounting services to Colleges and Divisions, Research accounting, UFM

Financial Systems
Financial systems implementation, maintenance, upgrade and support, Oracle Chart of Accounts, Corporate Credit Card, iPay Internet Payment.
