Welcome to UWS Travel. Our section is located within the Finance group and provide the necessary co-ordination between University staff, approved UWS students and visitors, preferred airline and travel agent and other external travel suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Travel prepayments to external companies other than those paid via corporate credit cards
  
• Advances and reimbursements to approved travelling staff, students and UWS associates
  
• Overseas insurance cover and processing of claims
  
• Provision of quarterly and annual reporting to senior executives
  
• Maintaining relationships with the appointed UWS travel agent/s and advisors
  
• Provide training sessions and news bulletins to keep abreast of changes as required
  
• Interpretation of travel policies, procedures and forms
  
• Monitoring the University's travel expenditure trends ensuring compliance with UWS policy and procedure ensuring travellers are obtaining the lowest logical fares and rates
  

Student Travel

If UWS is fully or partially funding travel for eligible students (meaning trips that are associated with PhD work practicums, work experience or scholarships), then they can have access to UWS Travel Agency student fares; preferred accommodation and car hire arrangements via our National University Travel Consortium and UWS Overseas insurance cover.

Current students can obtain this information from their College/School administration units.
