Postgraduate Diploma in Information Communications Technologies

The Postgraduate Diploma in Information and Communications Technologies has been created to address the needs of working professionals in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) areas. UWS recognises that ICT professionals have clear goals and career paths in mind and hence are focused on improving their expertise in the areas that they choose, rather than undergoing a fully pre-designed course. The two core units, Network Technologies and Web Technologies, strongly address today’s highly globalised and networked environment. The remaining four units can be freely chosen from those on offer to suit students’ own background and future plans.

At UWS, we recognise and concentrate on the vital role that computer networks, including internet and web technologies, play. The course is designed with an open architecture that allows every student to tailor it according to their needs and planned career paths.

The course reflects the active research interests and strengths of the ICT academic staff in networking and web engineering. The electives also draw upon the expertise available in various schools of the University.
