What will Uni cost?
The cost of postgraduate study at university will depend on the degree chosen. You may be liable for a number of fees and expenses throughout your studies, relating to tuition and student contributions, as well as additional costs like textbooks, equipment and parking.
Tuition Fees and Student Contributions
As a postgraudate student, the value of tuition fees and student contributions will depend on your degree and your enrolment status. Postgraduate courses at UWS are either Commonwealth Supported or Domestic Fee Paying, and if you are eligible, you may be able to obtain a HELP loan for payment of your student contribution or tuition fees.
Commonwealth Supported Students (CSP)
The Australian government provides UWS with a specified number of Commonwealth Supported Places to which they provide a financial contribution towards the costs of study. Each student holding a Commonwealth Supported Place must then pay the remainder of their study costs via their Student Contribution.
Eligible postgraduate students have the option to apply for a HELP loan prior to the census date. You will need to refer to the Commonwealth Supported Students webpage for all your fee information.
Domestic fee paying students (DFEE)
Fees are charged per unit according to the UWS approved fees schedule, and vary across awards and units. The fee schedule is revised each calendar year, and therefore fees may increase annually. The domestic postgraduate fee schedule can be downloaded below as an Excel document.
Please note that tuition fees do not include any other expenses associated with university study such as books, equipment, accommodation and living expenses.
