Troubleshooting

I can't log in

  • Did you enter your 8 digit student number in the ID Number box?
  • Password: You will need to set up your MyUWSAccount password to log in to PWeb. The setup page can be found at https://myuwsaccount.uws.edu.au/
  • Are cookies enabled on your browser? They need to be enabled, and are by default for Netscape and Explorer browsers.
  • Have you changed your password at some time?

I can't connect to PlatformWeb

Sometimes the system is under so great a load that you cannot even connect. This normally occurs in the 20 minutes following school opening times. Try again in 10 or 15 minutes! If you still can't connect contact the Tutorial Registration Enquiry line on (02) 9852 5471.

One of the units that I am enrolled in has no timetable information

You will need to contact the School office that runs the unit to clarify whether or not they intend to timetable the unit.

When I go to tutorial registration after I’ve logged in there isn’t a Timetable button

This could be either that your enrolment is UNCONFIRMED or INVALID. Check your enrolment status on MyStudentRecords and make any necessary changes.

The class I want to register for is showing 'Not Open'

The Unit is not yet open for registration – check the School opening day for the date and time that the unit will be open. Remember, it's the School that the unit belongs to, not your course.

The class I want to register for is showing 'Not Enabled'

There are a number of reasons why an activity shows not enabled:

  • The Unit is not using online registration – check for messages on that unit's "Notes" in PlatformWeb. Contact the School if you need more help. 
  • The class may be reserved and may or may not open – you are advised to select another class.

The class I want to register for is showing 'Restricted'

The unit may have restrictions activated – e.g. reserved for students from a particular course code. You are advised to select another class.

The activity that I wish to select is full!

You have no alternative but to select another activity.  If all of the activities in a unit are full you may need to change your enrolment.  If you must complete the unit for your course, contact the Unit Coordinator for advice.

I submitted my selection but did not receive confirmation

This is probably because the system is under load.  You need to either wait for a while or keep trying until you receive the confirmation page with your selected activities highlighted.

You can confirm your registration by seeing if the activities that you have selected are highlighted by a grey bar when you log in to PlatformWeb and view your timetable details.

For all other problems, contact the Tutorial Registration line.
The Tutorial Registration Enquiry line +61 (02) 9852 5471 will be open from Monday 4 February to Friday 8 February, 9am to 5pm and on the days on which each School is "open" from Monday 11 February to Thursday 14 February, 9am to 5.30pm. On Friday 15 February the line will be open from 9am till 5pm.
