Endowments

Your Endowment Can Make a Difference

Endowments are a gift that keeps on giving. They are established when a donation is given to the University in trust, and the earnings generated by the investment are accumulated and distributed annually.

Endowments provide an ongoing and reliable source of funding, allowing the University to confidently plan for its future.

An endowment can be established to support various projects such as prizes, scholarships, teaching positions, research programs or the development of new teaching facilities.  Alternatively your endowment may be unrestricted which will allow the University to effectively meet the changing needs of the community.

Your Endowment – Bringing Knowledge to Life

Cospak established an endowment with the University of Western Sydney which contributes the annual interest to The Cospak Group Scholarship. “We established the endowment to ensure that our contribution would provide ongoing opportunity and support for single parents in pursuit of tertiary education. We believe that it’s important to encourage education and development in our region,” Said Chris Llewellyn, Finance Director at Cospak.

Caroline Wilson, a UWS Nursing graduate, was a recipient of the Cospak Group Scholarship and acknowledges that the Cospak endowment has changed her life forever. “I was almost about to give up after I realised the financial burden that I was accumulating as a result of being a full-time student and a single mother. The Cospak Group Scholarship meant that I could successfully complete my degree and support my family at the same time. As I commence my career as a Registered Nurse, I am more confident about my future, and the contribution I can make to my family and the community.”
